Post-Symposium publication(s)
Arrangements are being made for the publication in book format of papers presented at The 6th International Symposium on Cultural Gerontology. Extending Time, Emerging Realities, Imagining Response" held at the University of Lleida (Catalunya, Spain) on 16th, 17th and 18th October 2008.
All those registered participants who presented a paper at the Symposium are invited to send their paper as an email attachment (preferably in MS WORD.doc format) to bworsfold@dal.udl.cat as soon as possible and not later than 31st December 2008, for consideration for inclusion in the publication(s).
Papers should be copy-edited to follow the MLA style guidelines.
Guidelines for presentation of text:
- Text should be written using a programme such as Microsoft Word for Windows.
- Digital files (photos, diagrams, etc.) should be in .JPEG, .TIF, or .BMP format.
- Page size: A4
- All margins should be set at 2cm.
- All pages should be presented with page numbers.
- Alignment: Justified
- Font type: TIMES NEW ROMAN
- Font size: 12
- Space between lines: 1½
- Paragraph indentation: 1.25cm.
- Quotations (longer than three lines): Indentation 1.25cm; space between lines: 1cm; alignment: justified.
- Titles of books in italics
- Language check: English (UK) or English (USA)
- References: At end of indented quotation ... . (36); at end of short quotation in text "..." (36).
- Quotation marks: "...end." (i.e. not "...end".)
- Works Cited: Font size: 12; Space between lines: 1cm.; Alignment: Francesa; Titles of books in italics.
- Word count: 6,000 - 9,000 words (including Works Cited)
