Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria

This study will examine older people’s views on sexuality in the context of three religious doctrines. Only qualitative methods, namely, in-depth interview, Vignette, and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) will be adopted in generating relevant data. The study will be conducted in Ile-Ife, Osun State Nigeria. Ile-Ife has been acclaimed as the source of the Yoruba race. The Study population will consist of old adults, both females and males (45 years old—90 years old), currently residing in Ile-Ife. Religious inclination—Christianity, Islam or indigenous religion—and ethnic background will also be considered. As such, only older persons who are Yorubas will be included. Data collected will be analysed thematically using a ZX index approach.
